Who else remembers a time, not all that long ago, when the adult world at large regarded superheroes as the stuff of childhood and supposedly sad man-children?
How far we’ve come in less than 20 years. Case in point: Singapore customizers WrapStyle have turned heads among exotic car owners by transforming already slick rides into “costumed” likenesses Superman and Spider-Man, among other well-chosen couplings.
To be clear, these aren’t slap-dash amateur decals. Far from it. These are intricate class-act wraps that even manage to match each car up with its apropos kindred super-spirit. For example, matching the ultra-light and agile McLaren 6508 up with bookish and unassuming Peter Parker’s web-slinging alter ego Spider-Man is an inspired touch for a car that doesn’t LOOK like it should keep pace with overpowered Italian speedsters.
Just the same, what better match to the globally superlative power of the Mercedes SLS AMG than the godlike superiority of the Last Son of Krypton, Superman?
Not so sure other WrapStyle pairings such as an undersized twin-turbo Nissan GT-R with the Hulk, Batman with an Audi R8 or Iron Man to a Lamborghini Aventador, but let’s face it: sometimes, cool is cool.
