[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Drones don’t just look awesome and offer hours of fun for man-children everywhere, they also actually have some pretty useful applications. In particular, drones are great for photography when they come with built in cameras.
Unfortunately the ones with actually decent cameras have tended to be prohibitively priced. But good things come to those who wait and especially when it comes to technology which has a habit of becoming gradually more affordable.
The Parrot Bebop drone has a built in 14 megapixel camera for taking awesome aerial shots or 1080p video using a 180 degree fisheye lens… and the base model only costs $499. If you do have a little more money though, then you can upgrade this one step further with a controller. That’s where things get really fun as the controller also has a pretty impressive display that lets you actually see what you’re taking photos in great clarity of before you take them. This will set you back $899 for both bundled together. Otherwise, a tablet works just fine as a controller and for streaming.
The great thing about it is it has built in GPS. What this means is you can track it anywhere it goes. Even better, if for some reason you lose sight of it, you can push a button to have it return home to you. A kick-ass feature to help prevent you from losing your expensive toy.
So it’s not pocket money but it’s now cheap enough that you won’t probably get thrown out of the house by your partner for an impulse purchase…
