
Scalextric was great fun as a kid but let’s be honest, it didn’t really require much in the way of skill… all you did was press the button then watch as your cars zipped around the track and you hoped that yours would cross the finish line fastest. Ultimately it came down to dumb luck (although there are some angry nerds out there who would be pretty angry at that insinuation).
This new Wave Racers from Auldey Toys changes that however by putting acceleration firmly in the users’ hands. The speed of the car here depends on how fast kids can wave their hands over the top of cars. It looks like tiring work though it’s hopefully good forearm exercise and practice for when they’re older!
