Most of us hate printers. After all, they’re constantly getting paper jams, running out of ink and making loud noises. Generally we use them most often in the office too, which doesn’t really create the best of associations…
But something tells us you might like this particular printer a bit more. Why?
Because it prints chocolate!
Of course this isn’t your run-of-the-mill inkjet printer but rather a type of ‘3D printer’. 3D printers are all the rage at the moment as you may be aware but whereas most will deal with plastics and resins, this is one of the first that can handle printing entirely in chocolate. It’s called the ‘CocoJet 3D Printer‘ and it’s the result of a collaboration between Hershey and 3D Systems.
Is This the Most Delicious Printer Ever?
What’s the point of printing in chocolate you ask? Most likely it will be used for creating the kinds of elaborate shapes that normally would be too difficult to create which will make for some truly imaginative snacks and probably a whole lot of fun building ‘personalized’ chocolates. In theory, anything you could create with a regular 3D printer, you could create with this one. So the only limit is your imagination!
But really do you need an excuse? It’s a chocolate printer for heaven’s sake!
