Halloween Light Show Synced To Ghostbusters and Monster Mash Is Awesome Fun

Year after year, we’ve given this question some thought, but we never once nailed it down as we did upon witnessing this AMAZING fully-synched Halloween light display set to “Monster Mash” and Ray Parker Jr.’s GHOSTBUSTERS theme: as decor goes, why is Halloween just so much more interesting than Christmas?

4 singing pumpkin faces, tombstones, hand carved pumpkins, strobes, floods, 2 Matrix boards and thousands of lights. All RGB LED except for the faces, floods and a few light strings. E1.31 DMX and LOR driven. 8000+ channels. Riverside, CA.

Before anyone out there starts sharpening candy canes into stakes looking for magic reindeer to ride into battle seeking our heads – and before we get distracted and write the first and single-greatest GAME OF THRONES Yuletide fan-fic in all recorded history – just hear us out.

The year wouldn’t be the same without that one month – ONE DAMN MONTH ONLY, UPPITY RETAILERS – to get our holly-jolly on and wash it out of our systems. True as that will always be, and without need of hokey John Grisham novels to drive it home, the themes of the holiday season often boil down to one of two motifs only: “Praise Jesus!” OR “Yay, Santa! LOOT DROP!”

Halloween, though? It isn’t just about the scares anymore. It’s about the fun, imaginative and transformative, that one night when anybody and everybody gets to be anything and everything they can conjure up. It’s the time of year when the costume market develops questionable fixation on trying to infuse any and every-damn-thing it sees with a “sexy” touch.

Yes, we have seen conclusive, undeniable proof that commercial costume designers believe,in their hearts of “What the f*** is wrong with you?!”-inspiring hearts, that the path to profit passes through tempting hidden and unspoken-of dimensions of the id that only barely resists getting the humpity-bumpity on with slices of pizza, Spongebob Squarepants, ears of corn, a guitar, Chinese food, or a sentient house.

The point being, it isn’t all about the “scary”. It’s about the anything’s-possible.
