The idea of an electric skateboard is cool in theory but we’ve yet to really see one that capitalizes on the potential properly. Well, that’s exactly what the GT Powerboard appears to do thanks to its 25 inch aluminum deck, its pneumatic tires and its 22 mile range.
More to the point though, it’s also just pretty darn fast with great acceleration too – the electric skateboard has an 800 watt motor and can go from 0-23mph in five seconds. Those wheels also make it suitable for off-road action and it can traverse all kinds of surfaces.
