DIY – Make Your Own Coffee Pot Terrarium

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you like coffee/tea and you like plants, then you will love making your own coffee pot terrarium. And if you’re somewhat indifferent to tea and coffee and plants… then you’ll probably still really like having your own terrarium.

  1. Small Coffee pot (check out your local thrift store)
  2. Mini air plants ( I used Ionantha Fuego and a green Tilandsia)
  3. White Sand
  4. Moss (bright works best)
  5. River rocks/aquarium rocks
  6. Decorations (gemstones, shells, or miniatures – it’s up to you!)

The idea is that you use a coffee pot as a small transparent pot to grow a little plant (usually moss or mini air plants like ionantha) and you then use coffee as fertilizer. You can add in decorations too like gemstones and shells and this will then look beautiful next to your coffee when you serve it on the tray. Until some idiot pours boiling water onto it and kills your plants that is…
